Terms and Conditions:

1) Classes

a) The language teacher commits herself to prepare and hold the lessons professionally. The costs for preparing lessons are included in the lessons’ price.
b) The language teacher commits herself to start and finish lessons punctually, except for delays for which she is not responsible. In such cases the time lost will be made up as agreed upon.
c) The language teacher commits herself to inform the client if she is unable to give a lesson.
d) The client commits themselves to pay for all lessons that have been held during one month at the end of that month.
e) If the client wishes to cancel a lesson, they must inform the language teacher 24 hours in advance by phone (or answering machine). If they don’t cancel before this  time, they will have to pay for the lesson.
f) The client is responsible for the costs of the students’ materials (books, photocopies, etc.)

2) Translation

a) The basis for calculating the price for a translated text is the word count of the original text. The word count is to be agreed between the contractual partners. The VAT (16%) is to be added to this amount.
b) The translator guarantees to treat texts sent by clients confidentially.
c) The translator commits herself to deliver the translated texts punctually, i.e. at the agreed time. In case of delays out of her control (e-mail or technical problems) she can not be held responsible for those.
d) The client can require a quotation for a text. As soon as they accept this quotation and send the texts they are bound to the agreement and have to pay the sum agreed on.
e) Unless both parties have agreed on a different date, the outstanding sum is to be paid by a bank transfer during the month following the reception of the translated text.
Any legal case arising from this contract shall be heard in Madrid.
